The Rolex GMT-Master II 116710LN is initially a pilot’s watch, but in modern times, it has more become a watch for the discerning traveler. The GMT-Master II 116710 is a GMT watch, which means that it allows the wearer to keep track of multiple time zones simultaneously. In fact, the Rolex GMT-Master II 116710 can keep track of up to four timezones.

At its core, it is very similar the Rolex Submariner as it uses the same case, a similar dial layout, and the same base bezel. This means that if you are familiar with the ceramic Rolex Submariner, this watch will feel just at home. Rather than a 60-minute uni-directional rotating bezel like on the Submariner, the GMT-Master 116710LN has a bidirectional 12-hour bezel. This bezel is used together with the additional GMT hand to follow different timezones. The dial is the distinctive face of a Rolex watch, and this dial offers a great legibility. The hour markers are made in 18ct gold to prevent tarnishing.

The watch is powered by the Rolex caliber 3186 which is a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. The 3186 is equipped with a Parachrom hairspring, offering greater resistance to shocks and to temperature variations.
